The days are getting longer — and warmer. School has entered its final quarter, and concerts are aplenty again. Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band's rockin' show at MVP Arena Monday was just one of the first of many to thrill Capital Region concertgoers in the months to come. Saratoga Performing Arts Center is getting ready to kick off the outdoor concert season, while MVP will continue to host shows indoors. Here are some of The Gazette's top picks for summer. Hozier - Sun. May 19 at SPAC

Folk pop favorite Hozier, most known for hits such as “Take me to Church” and “Too Sweet,” will hit the Broadview Stage at SPAC in just one month. The independent singer-songwriter will stop in the Spa City as part of the tour for his recent album “Unreal Unearth: Unheard”

Judas Priest - Tues. May 21 at MVP

One of heavy metal’s defining artists, Judas Priest will visit Albany next month on the penultimate date of its spring tour, which concludes the following night in Syracuse.

Beach Boys - Sat. May 25 at SPAC

This classic rock group has been around “Forever” and brings summer wherever it goes, so get a jumpstart on the season by spending a spring evening with The Beach Boys.

Stevie Nicks - Wed. June 12 at MVP

Seeing such an iconic artist like Steve Nicks, former frontwoman of Fleetwood Mac, may seem like something out of your “Dreams,” but let that come true this summer.

Hootie and the Blowfish - Sat. June 15 at SPAC

Dave Matthews Band - Fri./Sat. July 5-6 at SPAC

It wouldn’t be a summer at SPAC without DMB. This year, the band continues the time honored tradition. Fresh off the Fourth of July, it’s sure to be a jam packed weekend in the Spa City.

Hank Williams Jr. - Fri. Aug. 23, SPAC

Country fans won’t be disappointed to send off summer with genre great Hank Williams. Concertgoers will be in “Country State of Mind.”
