McDonald sparks Lady Rams win

TOWN OF AMSTERDAM -- Ashlee McDonald scored a team-high 13 points, and the Amsterdam High School girls basketball team overcame giving up a 16-point halftime lead to pull out a 49-46 win over Albany Leadership Charter in non-league action Friday night.

Cristiana Johnson added 11 points and Kelly Paris scored 10 for Amsterdam (5-5), which led 30-14 at halftime before being outscored 25-9 in the third quarter to send the game into the fourth quarter all knotted up. Amsterdam finished 18-of-35 from the free throw line.

McKenna Lee Gordon scored 18 points to lead Albany Leadership.
