Setting it straight

Due to a mix-up in a review of costs associated with Montgomery County's lawsuit involving a property dispute involving a sewer pump in Nelliston, the Recorder published the incorrect amount spent on the legal matter Wednesday. A resolution before the Finance Committee on Tuesday referred to two resolutions that totaled $25,000, but according to documents from the county obtained Thursday, more than $200,000 has been spent on the case, closer to the amount stated by Amsterdam town Supervisor Thomas DiMezza.

Today's arts center class canceled

Today's previously announced workshop, "The Write Stuff," at the Creative Connections Arts Center in Amsterdam has been canceled. Therefore, the facility at 305 E. Main St. will be closed.
