“Chicago” at Proctors'
If you’re looking for something to do “Nowadays” the acclaimed musical will bring its biting satire and jazzy tunes to Proctors this week. Leading the show is Canadian actor Kailin Brown as Velma Kelly and Katie Frieden, a performer and choreographer originally from Virginia. The pair will play two women accused of murdering their lovers. The show follows their fight for freedom and features commentary on 1920s America that for many, rings true to this day. Tickets can be bought for the 8 p.m. show on the Proctors website.

Trivia for furry friends at Glove Theatre
The Glove Theatre will host a trivia night fundraiser for Fulton County Regional SPCA at 7 p.m. on April 19 at 42 N. Main St. Teams of four will compete in five rounds of questions. The cost is $20 per person and pre-registration is required. To register, visit the FRSPCA website.
Game night in Rotterdam
A community game night will be held at 6:30 p.m. on April 19 in the Rotterdam Community Center Conference Room at 705 Curry Road. Bring your own games or choose from a selection suitable for players 12 and older. People of all ages and abilities are welcome but minors need to be accompanied by an adult. Game night is free although a $5 suggested donation is appreciated to help support the community center.
Paint and Sip in Schenectady
Schenectady Kiwanis is sponsoring a Paint and Sip at C.R.E.A.T.E. Community Studios. The session is slated for Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. and tickets are $35 per person. Tickets can be purchased online.
